The love of nature, travel and adventure, and above all of remote and unknown places, sparked my desire to capture and perpetuate those magical instants of landscape. Holding a degree in social work and without any prior background in the discipline of photography, I chose to focus my interest through a diploma course in art, specializing in photography, at Chile's Universidad Católica in 1999-2000.
An eagerness for continual improvement led me to take in 2002 a lighting workshop with the photography club Foto Cine Club de Chile, an institution that took me in and allowed me to continue to grow within the discipline. The Club motivated me to participate in numerous photography salons and contests, in many of which I earned awards. In 2004 I was honored with the Club's distinction of Photographic Artist. |
